A Year in Travel Photography: Capturing the Wonders of Nature

Our Travel Journey in 2024


2024 was our first year of serious travel photography. I traveled all over Florida in March, went to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming in November, and explored Costa Rica in December. During these trips, I captured countless images. I am still editing them for my portfolio as I enter 2025. The diversity of wildlife and incredible landscapes has truly expanded my work.


I used my new OM-1 Mark II camera. It was paired with my OM System 150-400 F/4.5 lens and, at times, my OM 40-150 F/2.8 lens. (OM System was formerly known as Olympus.)


A Visual Journey Through Grand Teton National Park


Join me on a visual journey through the breathtaking wilderness of Grand Teton National Park. The Wildlife in Winter Show is just north of Jackson, Wyoming. This video slideshow showcases the incredible variety of wildlife I encountered during my visit.


The Wildlife Encounter


During my time in the park, I saw majestic moose rutting in a stream. I also spotted elusive foxes and coyotes hunting for voles hidden beneath the snow. Powerful bison and graceful elk roamed freely across the open plains. A curious pine marten climbed after a great horned owl perched in a tree. I even witnessed playful river otters on the frozen Snake River.


These scenes were set against the stunning backdrop of the Teton Range in all its glory. This collection celebrates nature's raw beauty and the quiet moments of connection I was lucky enough to witness through my lens. Engaging with Nature


Photography is more than just capturing images. It is about engaging with nature and the environment. Each click of the shutter connects me with the wild. It allows me to tell the stories of the animals we share this planet with. When I look at these photographs, I am reminded of the importance of preserving these habitats. The beauty found in Grand Teton National Park is just one example of what we must protect.
